After months and months of constant denial on the part of both Mallya junior and Deepika Padukone, it took just one sentence from English cricketer, Kevin Pietersen to confirm their romance. The mentioned tweet posted by Pieterson set tongues wagging with regard to the cricketer's blunt confirmation.
The couple has been under the media scanner ever since Deepika broke up with her then boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor. They were often seen at various events in each other's company but they always maintained the "just friends" stance.

Very recently Mallya Jr. denied that they were dating when reports surged that he had bought the 16 crore flat for Deepika.
He asked “Does being escorted by a brand ambassador of RCB mean dating?”

Apparently yes, now that Pietersen has declared that they are a couple. Now it totally depends on them whether they will continue to deny their relationship or accept it now that it has been made public.
