Deepika Padukone attended the auction organsied by Rahul Bose in Mumbai on October 29. One of the items on sale was her father Prakash Padukone's medals.
The crowd present expected that Siddharth Mallya, who accompanied Deepika to the function, would bid for Prakash's medal.
Says a source, "We were sorely disappointed that Siddharth made no attempt to buy Deepika's dad's medal. It was picked up by a stranger."
